I don't know what a documentary is, either, but I'd like that anyways!

Yeah, 'cause the white stuff's supposed to look like it's snowing once you shake it up. Supes festive!

Right, right, you wouldn't have those, either. Do you know what movies are?

[agleam]

[after a long moment:]

...That's the only one you know?

That's the only one I saw, yeah...

[dms]

Weird! They're not all like that, though. Documentaries... They're like nonfiction movies? They're usually meant to be educational and stuff, not so much for entertainment.

[agleam]

Oh! So more like books, but... In movie form?

[dms]

Pretty much! Sometimes they do, like, interviews from the experts so it's not like a constant lecture with some pictures scrolling by in the background, but they're supposed to be heavily researched and stuff. You can learn a lot from documentaries!

Wow... That sounds really cool! Are there a lot of them or are they more rare? Do they have them on a bunch of different subjects?

No, no, there's tons of them! And on all kinds of subjects, too! Anything you can think of, there's probably a documentary on it! I bet there are some on magic, too, but it'd all be theoretical since we don't have real magic in my world.

[agleam]

I wonder if there's a world out there that has both magic and movies, and they have magic documentaries...

[he sounds so excited thinking about this]

Ohh, if there is, I totes want to visit! That sounds so cool!

Actually, Prompom's world has magic and movies. They have to have documentaries, too. And documentaries on magic! I never even thought to ask...

[agleam]

Prompom? Is that one of your friends from your last group?

[dms]

Prompom's my boyfriend!

But yeah, he was in the prism, too. I was actually supposed to show him around Veludo Way after everything ended there.

[agleam]

[brightening up again]

What's he like? How'd you meet?

[dms]

[ oh no is it gossip time?? he lights up immediately. ]

We first met in the prism when he was looking for his camera! We didn't get our stuff there for a while, either, so that's kind of familiar.

But he's really bright and fun to be around, and suuuuper easy to talk to, so we hit it off really quickly. He's the type that's always trying to cheer people up, you know? And he tries really hard to take care of me and Kumopi, too. It's really sweet!

[agleam]

[cute!! his smile grows a little softer.]

Sounds like you two are really good for each other. I'm happy for you!

Hehe, thanksies~! I just hope he didn't get lost back at Veludo Way without me, you know? Especially with both me and Kumopi here.

[agleam]

[he tilts his head. with a little bit of concern in his voice:]

Well - back in my last group, time was sort of paused between when we got sent there and when we got back home. There's at least a chance that's the case again, right?

[dms]

Eh? Really? I didn't know something like that was even possible. That's sick!

[agleam]

Yeah. I'm really hoping the same thing happens here, I was - kind of in the middle of something.

[he sighs.]

But I'll... figure something out if that's not the case, I guess.

[dms]

Sounds like a bunch of us were busy when we ended up here. But I'll cross my fingers that you're right and no one has to miss anything important!

So what was it that you were doing? Ah, but you don't have to answer if you don't want to! I'm just curious!

[agleam]

[he pauses for a long moment, going a little still, before his expression turns more apologetic.]

Sorry... I don't think I'm ready to talk about it quite yet. A lot's been happening, like - a lot. Maybe I'll tell you another time.

Hey, no need to apologize! I totes get it. You don't have to talk about it until you're ready, and I was just being nosy anyway. No big!

Sounds like the sooner we get stuff here over with, though, the better it'll be for everyone. It kind of makes me wish there was a way to speed things up a little. But it never works that way, does it?
