Well, they have stores, but nothing specifically for gifts.
[there's a pause as he says that, glancing over the contents of the aisles.]
Yeah, maybe. Anyways, the things that... where you shake them and all the little white stuff inside flies around? Those are pretty cool. It must have taken a long time to make them.
Makes sense! It's all about the merch in places like this, though. Gotta advertise somehow!
Oh, the snowglobes! I actually have no idea how they make those things, now that I think about it... I bet there's a documentary on it out there somewhere! We should look it up if we can get internet access!
[there's the sound of a laugh from inside (which i guess he can't hear because we found out the rooms are soundproof as i typed this help) before the door opens!]
Yeah, he's perfectly fine. Thank goodness, right? Do you want to come in and meet him?
Weird! They're not all like that, though. Documentaries... They're like nonfiction movies? They're usually meant to be educational and stuff, not so much for entertainment.
He does, yeah. It's actually pretty weird... He got smaller all of a sudden, somehow? He doesn't seem hurt at all, though, so I guess it's alright. Just - strange.
[with that, though, he takes a step back so kazunari can come in! in his room, he'll see:
the walls and floor (pretend there's no bookcase in this picture but everything else is there,) are made of stone. somehow, it doesn't feel cold despite that, though that might be due to the warmth emanating from the fireplace. though the flames that flicker there aren't real, they still give off heat. similarly, the flames on the sources of light don't appear to be real. the rest of the light in the room comes from the window resting just above his desk, which always shows a field of wildflowers.
his bed sits on a thick rug, with more than a couple pillows resting near the headboard. A few feet away is an armoir, and a decoration on the wall (it's easy to tell the swords are not real). there's also a sofa near a bookcase. the spines of the fake books contained on the shelf seem to vary between books about history, politics, adventure novels, fairy tales, and mythology. the clock sitting on the wall makes a soft ticking noise every so often, adding to the noise of the crackling fireplace. a woven tapestry sits on the wall above the fireplace.
and, of course, there's porridge lying on the bed, though he stretches and hops off once he sees there's a new person coming in. then he's just going to wander over and paw at kazunari's leg lightly. rupert laughs.]
That usually means he wants you to pet him. He doesn't bite or anything, I promise.
Maybe they wanted him to feel at home here, too? [ but of course he's immediately distracted by the whole aesthetic once rupert lets him in! ] Whoa! It's like something straight out of a castle! Way different from my room. I guess this must be a sort of magic too, huh?
[ ...and there's porridge!! kazu lights up and kneels, hand outstretched like he would for a dog. ]
Hey little guy! You really are cute! I'm def gonna need a pic of you before I leave.
Yeah! You're welcome in mine any day - it's way more on the modern side, but yours is really cool, too! Normally, I wouldn't see something like this outside of a set for a play.
[ aaaa he's like cooing and fawning over this little dragon, it's so cuuuute! if he can, though, kazu's gonna try to maneuver and snap a pic with one hand. ]
The feeling's mutual! Awww, his little wings...! Can he still fly like this, or was he totally grounded?
Pretty much! Sometimes they do, like, interviews from the experts so it's not like a constant lecture with some pictures scrolling by in the background, but they're supposed to be heavily researched and stuff. You can learn a lot from documentaries!
No, no, there's tons of them! And on all kinds of subjects, too! Anything you can think of, there's probably a documentary on it! I bet there are some on magic, too, but it'd all be theoretical since we don't have real magic in my world.
