[The simulations room has turned into a cave for the moment.

Somewhere in the distance, there's the chattering of voices long gone by. There's a lake in the middle of the "room", and several beautiful blue gems are found along the ground, the kind of gems that almost seem to have growth rings like a tree.

Bradley, with big seagull wings, has situated himself next to the body of water and seems to be taking it all in.]

[ birb. good thing we're not getting animal instincts, too, because your boy is a nyan. kazunyari real.

his ears flick toward the voices, but he comes to settle by bradley. ]

Something on your mind?

[The voices seem to be coming from all sides.

[ hmmm. he's silent for a moment, just taking in those words. ]

In the hotel, you mean? [ ... ] We won't be here forever. We'll be able to go home in a few weeks, probably. And the people we came here for, too.

Did ya see the contract? Eight weeks of this. Least the time's defined this time around. But that guy... has a fucked sense of entertainment.

You aren't wrong. Comedy is supposed to be my specialty, but that's def not how it's supposed to go. It's really hard to watch.

We're already two weeks in, though, so we've got time to figure things out - if we can change anything, or something.

This whole set up 's sourin' the entertainment industry.

Six weeks to survive and not get possessed.

Maybe we'll get lucky and more people will come back to life?

Even if they do come back- the pain of losin' somebody, of watchin' 'em die is real.

I'm not sure. A bunch of them.

[He picks up one of the gems and holds it up.]

At home, death is final. The most you can do is hold onto a ghost.

It's the same where I'm from, too. So... even if people do die here, even if it hurts, I'm grateful that they can have a second chance.

[battling]

We don't know that there is necessarily one. Haven't found anything like that points to that, yeah? No notes from the dead?

[dms]

Not yet - at least not that I've heard. But it took ages for us to hear from the dead in the prism, too, so it's not that surprising.

But it is something that every place had in common, right? Just like people dying at all. So I think that's a good sign in favor.

[battling]

Near the fifth week before we could get anything to go through.

They did call it a "entertainment". Considering some of the assholes I know back home, that doesn't guarantee anythin'.

I think it was somewhere around there for us, too.

...Maybe not, but it's something for us to aim for, anyway. Something to hope for, you know?

Someone has to be! As bad as things might get, it'll only be worse if everyone starts to give up.

[ keeping everyone's hopes up might be all he can do, but that's fine. ]

I'm too stubborn to give up, even when shit gets bad.

That's probably a good thing! That helps keeps spirits up, too.
