I see you what mean, though. It is a little weird to be here without anyone else, but I used to come up here a lot, actually. It's good drawing practice, to draw whatever landscape appears.
A little bit of everything, really! Here, wanna see?
[ he'll let her look! there are some quick sketches of the current landscape past the rooftop, just like he said. but more than that are sketches of people, some marie will recognize from the prism, others from the hotel, and still more she won't recognize at all. ]
Well, I wasn't always. But sometime when I was in middle school, my dad asked me to go for a walk with him. It was in the middle of summer, so it was really hot out... so eventually we just went into the nearest building to cool off.
It turned out to be an art museum. I'd never been to one before, and never really cared to, but seeing the paintings there... It was like discovering an entirely different way of seeing the world, and I loved it, and wanted to know everything about it. So when we left, I asked my dad if I could get art supplies for my birthday, since it was just a few weeks out anyway. And then I just never stopped drawing.

I always wanted to ask, though we couldn’t talk much… but what made you so interested in drawing?
