[ He meant more like... how does a statue know how to make food? Have they ever seen food? How would they know what humans (human-adjacent) creatures even eat????
Not really. I know about magic tricks, but that's about it. I don't think real magic is actually a thing, where I'm from, but it would be pretty cool if it was! Like, the illusion magic would be totally useful for sets and stuff!
Hm, I wouldn't say it's the only thing. But it is kind of my main job right now, so I have to care about it, you know? I don't want to let the troupe down.
[ not totally convinced, but it does sound like he's trying to understand where garou's coming from? ]
I don't mind lending a hand while we're here, though. It sounds like it's just a different way of getting strong, right? So it could be fun to give it a shot.
Mm, if it's anything like the stories, making magic stronger is just like training your muscles, right? And if it helps someone else out, that's a bonus! And it'll be good for us, since we're stuck here for now.
...But I'm an artist, too, so I also think this place will be way nicer if we can add some color to it.
[ rock get! he does some experimental curls with it. ]
Huh... I never thought of it that way. Normally I'd do some research before starting, but there aren't really any books around here, so I was kind of just making it up as I go along.

Oh hey, that's pretty cool! I don't think even Tax has won things like that, and he's the strongest guy I know back home.
...It is def weird. Like something out of a movie, you know? But so is all the color magic we can do.

Anyway. Before he spirals. ]
Have you tested yours?

[ this guy was choking him a minute ago but he's already bounced back like it's nothing. ]
It was like an illusion? Which is pretty cool, don't get me wrong, but I dunno - might be more useful to be able to make the real thing, you know?

An illusion? Like those clowns?

Were they illusions...? [ then where did his sweet balloon hat come from? ] Then yeah, I guess it's like that.

They called it "the prism." Sounds like they want us to help balance things out here, so we're supposed to try to make this color magic stronger.

[ snorts ]
Sounds like some bullshit.

Curiously, he opens up his phone to peek at Kazunari's profile. Cue me, spoon, being shocked that he's 20. ]
"Getting stronger by helping others"? Is this some kind of afterschool special?

I started jogging again?! And doing sit-ups, and I can't really do a lot of push-ups yet, but I've been trying!
[ listen he's a nerdy artist, not a jock ]

glances at kazunari's arms ]
If your bodyweight is too much for you to start with, then use weights.

I thought bodyweight exercises were, like, how you got into lifting weights. Never thought about trying it the other way around.
I wonder if I could ask Kumopi to try making weights... Or maybe there's something around the mansion that could work.
no subject
Keep up with both. A push up is more a chest exercise, but you can do arm curls while doing other activities and it's not without pay off.
