[when she comes out of the pod, thanks to that healing and what estinien gave her, she's mostly healed! her vision is still on the fritz, so she's stumbling out a little bit, but she can at least tell someone else is with her in here.]

[ kazu's probably just chilling on one of the beds, but he sits up when he hears her leaving the pod. ]

...Vinniko? Don't tell me your eyes got messed up, too.

[as she heads out, he'll be able to tell that the answer to that is probably yes - while most of her other wounds are hidden below her clothing, the mostly healed claw marks scratching from her forehead, over both of her eyes, and trailing off her cheek are still visible, even if they're much more shallow than they were.]

...It will return, I imagine. But - what happened to you? Were you taken somewhere, too?

Yeah, sounds like there were two groups again. Glad you're getting healed, though.

Some crazy guy cut slashed my face. [ ... ] I'd offer to help you out, but my vision's still pretty bad.

But... Are you alright other than that? Was that the only injury?

I wish. Dinosaurs aren't exactly gentle creatures.

I'm a little more worried about Nogi than me, though... her arm was in really bad shape.

[allomantic]

You mean - like the animals in that park?

[she frowns.]

What else happened to you? And... What happened to her arm?

[dms]

Yeah, like those. Everyone in this village we went to was turning into them, somehow. They bit and clawed at us, but I think the pods stabilized the injuries enough for now.

The same guy who cut my face almost sliced her arm clean off. He was pretty set on killing us.

[with some concern:]

But... None of you died, right?

[dms]

Somehow, no? So I guess that guy just wasn't that good at it. [ haha ] The only ones who died were the illusions, so that's something.

[allomantic]

[she does look a little relieved to hear that, even if he shouldn't have been there at all.]

...I hope you're able to heal quickly, then.

...You guys didn't die there, did you?

[she pauses, then coughs a few times, hacking a little. after a moment:]

...Now, maybe. But that doesn't erase what you felt before.

[she pauses for a moment.]

I'd prefer not to discuss it too much tonight, but - it would have been crueler any other way. You should not worry.

[dms]

Yeah, I get that, so I won't ask. You can talk about it whenever you're ready to. But you know I'm going to worry anyway, right? You're my friend.

[allomantic]

All the same, I think there is little to worry about now that I'm fine.

[dms]

Relatively, yeah, but your sight is still a big thing to worry about? If you're still having trouble, maybe we should get you a walking stick or something until after the trial...

[she shakes her head.]

Clarte was able to regain their sight during the trial after they lost it. I imagine I'll be allowed as well.

[dms]

I'll cross my fingers. Just try not to push yourself too hard, okay? There's no need to aggravate the injuries.

[allomantic]

[she shakes her head.]

I want to be useful. It will be fine.

[dms]

Oh, me too. Believe me, I get it. Just... it won't help if go too far and make everyone worry about us more, you know?

I don't see why they would be worried about me. My injuries are nearly healed.

[dms]

In a place like this, your friends are always going to be worried about you. That's just how it works.

They shouldn't. These injuries won't matter in the long run.
