[ now that we have a shower i guess kazu is freshly washed and sitting by the fire in the mansion! it's still cold, his hair is still a little wet, and for some reason he is wearing a balloon hat. go figure!

I wish! [ laughs! ] It's just quieter out here than most of the other areas, you know? Way easier to chillax.

Mmmm, sort of! It's the calmest place besides that alley, I think? There's no banging behind doors, or honking, or weird science projects watching you when you're not looking.

I suppose that's true. Although you seem friendly enough, like you'd appreciate the opposite of silence and stillness.

Haha, thanks! I don't mind a bit of quiet sometimes, though. Sure, it's more fun when things are noisy and everyone's hanging out together, but there's nothing wrong with taking it easy once in a while, either.

I'm not quite as optimistic as you, but I can appreciate it while being stuck in this dreary place. You must have a lot of friends?

Oh, totes, but only one of them is here with me. If you meet a kid with purple hair, that's Kumopi! He's a total cutie!

Sounds like you could use the break, though, huh? Must be pretty crazy for you back home.

I was in the middle of some things. I would have liked to finish them before I took a break, but it's not really like I have a choice.

Hey, maybe it'll actually help it a little? You can go back with fresh eyes to finish what you were doing, and get some rest in the meantime!

I am from Egypt. So this place is quite different to what I am used to...

Oh, no way! It must be a huge culture shock. Do they even have carnivals like that in Egypt? Or clowns?

No, not really. It's mostly sand.

I did see clowns during my travels, but they were... different.

Yeah, they aren't usually like this, right? They're supposed to make people laugh, not jump scare them.

Oh, these ones definitely made me laugh.

But, I don't think anything, or anyone, here particularly cares if we're entertained or not. Which makes it hard to enjoy the break. Don't you agree?

Aha, I guess you're right about that. But I wonder if we couldn't do something about that? I mean, Kumopi and I are actors, so we're all about entertaining people.

Oh, you mean like putting on a play? That sure is nice of you.

Exactly like that! It's just the two of us here, though, so we probably can't put on a full play, but we can probs come up with something fun if we try!
