[ i don't think either of you have been in his room yet sooooo:
his room isn't anything special, but it's got a modern japanese feel to it, and surprisingly reserved for someone like kazunari. the furniture is sleek, with almost unnoticeable detailing around the chair back and bed frame. the duvet sports a very vivid, colorful pattern, with curtains to match - with the view outside showing a bright, bustling street. the other walls are decorated with a few scrolls of traditional japanese art, and somewhere, a hat rack because he has way too many of them.
the desk looks kind of empty right now, with only a small vase of flowers and the hotel notebook sitting out. a bunch of books have been stowed in the shelf, from shoujo manga to artistic reference books, except they're all fake. lastly, there's a low table in the center of the room, with cushions around it for guests to sit. there are a couple of what looks like paint cups, but they're all dried up and empty with no real art supplies available. disappointing. ):
and once they arrive, he'll welcome them both with a small flourish! it'd be bigger, but he's still hurting a bit. ]
[Rin has brought food with him! He definitely raided the restaraunt for goodies before coming here. None of it is made by him, but it will do for now. Bread, butter, a few sodas, crackers and cheese, that kind of thing.
Rinkou is here too, though she has decided to go hiding under Kazu's bed for now. She's looking for dust bunnies!]
B, be careful with your wounds...! [Estelle protests at Kazu's flourish, but it makes her smile anyway. She also looks impressed at Rin's food spread!]
Oh, thank you Rin! Good thinking, bringing something to eat.
It's okay, Stella! I got the heal, so it's just a little sore, NBD!
Thanks for this, RinRin! [ he's just going to grab a piece of bread! ] I do miss painting, but it's not as important as stuff like healing whoever gets injured. I'm not even sure if the staff can do that?
[Estelle sits on one of the cushions by the low table, carefully easing herself down so as not to agitate the injured leg. She reaches for some crackers and cheese, and at Rin's question, she looks over at Kazunari.]
Man, we had to fight a demon train once too! And then I got lectured for cutting the train in half. I think we had to fight a possessed statue once too...
[He still doesn't get the similarities. Help.]
It was so bad that the best friends I made were the ones in my exorcist classes, since they were the ones I saw all the time.
That's the guy we saw. [ nodding at estelle's keychain. ] My demons were totally freaked by the guy! But I guess it makes sense, considering he rewound time. I didn't know that was a thing anyone could do!
Mm, probs like a copy of it. That sort of thing happened in the prism, too. I went to two of my friends' worlds, apparently, but it wasn't really their world, just a weird copy that we were thrown into like understudies, or something.
I don't know why it would happen here, though. The prism at least had the excuse of reacting to us somehow.
There were other students there, but I don't think I could remember any of their faces... except for the four of us, that is.
We were classmates there, it seemed like. With uniforms and everything. It even felt like we'd been living and attending school there for a long time...
Yeah. We didn't get to see much of them before we were sent off to deal with the train. And it was supposed to be a race, so we weren't working with them, either...
It was like our whole lives had changed? Really weird.

[He'll grab a piece of bread too.]
You could ask, I guess, but I think the injured are more important anyway.
Speaking of which, what even happened to you two?
no subject
We were, um...
... at school?
no subject
[ nods! ]
School, yeah. But not a normal school, it was like - exorcist school? I could summon demons?
no subject
[Rin, not connecting the dots at all.]
You must've fought some demons too if you got so beat up.

[ local extrovert suffers in class ]
There was a demon train! [ he's just whining now. ] I can't believe we had to get inside it! It was so creepy!

[But she nods. Yes, demons.] There was a statue possessed by a demon that animated it. And...
[A bit of a concerned look at Kazunari.]
... The others were terrible, too.

[Looking between the two of them.]
That's... a weird coincidence, isn't it...?

RinRin... Was the statue of your headmaster? A weird guy with a goatee?

... Did he look like this?

Wait, did you go to my world somehow?

Or more likely, some illusory recreation of it...

[Hmm. He'll have to ask at some point.]
But if you were in a copy of my world, did you see my classmates there?
[He figures they would have known immediately if they had seen him, so.]
